Six simple steps towards a warmer home and control of your energy costs

Six steps

Step 1: Registering your interest...

This is quick and easy, just call our team on 0117 352 1180, email us at [email protected] and request a call back or fill out our online registration form.

We'll talk you through what the scheme can offer and arrange for one of our qualified installers to come and do a home energy assessment, at a time that suits you.

Step 2:  Technical survey...

Our installers will visit you at your property and carry out a survey to help us build you an accurate quote for the home improvements that you are interested in. The installer will:

  • Identify your requirements
  • Take key measurements from your home

Our installers may also ask you some additional questions about your home in order to fully understand your needs and preferences.

Step 3: Your quote...

You will receive your full quotation via email within 14 days of your technical survey being completed. The quote will outline any funding available to you and a list of inclusions and exclusions for the work you want carried out.

You will be contacted to discuss your quote, but we cannot guarantee quotations for more than 30 days, particularly where grant funding is on a first come, first served basis. We'll ask you to pay 50% of your customer contribution as a deposit* when you accept your quote.

*should you change your mind you will have 14 days to cancel your installation. We are unable to refund your full deposit if cancellations are made after this date.

Step 4: Installation...

We'll let you know the name of your designated installer and they'll be in touch within 14 days to arrange an installation date. All our installers are fully accredited and our products and services are quality guaranteed.

Step 5: Final payment...

After your installation has been completed we’ll contact you to ensure that you’re happy with the work undertaken and to arrange final payment.
We’d be grateful if you would complete a quick customer satisfaction survey at this stage of the process. A member of our team will provide this for you to fill out.

Step 6: Enjoy your warmer home...

You can now enjoy the benefits of a warmer, cosier home and lower energy bills*.

We've got lots of useful, low-cost tips for saving energy on our Save Energy page. Take a look and let us know if you have any other top tips to add to our list.

*Your potential savings have been based on the information you supplied during your assessment. The actual level of your savings will depend on how much energy you use and the future cost of energy.

Installers wanted

We're committed to supporting local installers and increasing the employment opportunities in the city. We want to help as many homes as possible across the city and the best way that we can do that is by increasing the number of installers that we work with.

We're looking for installers for a range of energy-efficient measures, so if you're interested in working with us, please drop us a line via [email protected].

Are you a council or social housing tenant?

The Warm Up Bristol scheme does not apply to social housing tenants, but your landlord will be able to advise you on the alternative schemes that are available. Bristol City Council's has a project called Warmer Homes, for energy-efficiency refurbishments on social housing properties - find out more about the scheme on the council's website.
